Canzel Disbanding

berita ini pertama kali aku baca di blog nya Kushina...
dan ternyata aku cukup telat mengetahui kabar ini

The last live August 11th at Takadanobaba AREA in his latest oneman titled "The Last Day."
The reason they are disband because the singer (Icchi) decided to leave the band and also leave the music scene after the day 11th.

Because of this, they will release a best-of July 7 in two versions, both costing 3.675 yen and limited to 5000 copies. Besides new music, the CDs come with remakes and remixes, and the contents of DVDs are recorded lives of oneman "small world" that happened August 8, 2009 at SHIBUYA O-WEST.

Icchi posted his comment along with the announcement:

There’s something that I have to tell you all.

Although it’s unexpected, I have decided to leave Canzel.
Furthermore, after our three day oneman lives on August 9th, 10th and 11th at AREA, Canzel will be disbanding.

Since the end of our oneman live at WEST last year, I’ve been feeling that as a singer, I’ve reached my limits in regard to my skill as a singer and my power of expression. There’s also been a lot of personal things piling up, and I began to realize that there was a gap forming between myself and the members.

However, I’m really good friends with the guys in Canzel, we never stopped laughing, and I really think they’re awesome members, so leaving is something I was really troubled about.

But as a result of speaking frankly to all of the members time and time again and having lengthy discussions, we finally decided that we didn’t want Canzel to go through a member change.

I’m really sorry that this announcement was so sudden and if you’re saddened because of it.

I think that there will be many feelings, sadness, anger, that will vary person by person about this announcement.

However, this is all I can say.
Because you’re here, I’ve been able to come this far.
Every single word that you have given me up until today, has pushed me forward.
I am truly beyond grateful, for all the letters, presents, and memories… thank you.
Until we disband, we’ll have been active for about two and a half years, and from now on I want to pack off my gratitude towards you into my songs.
Even though we only have a short time left, until the very last moment, I want to have a wonderful time with you all.

Even more than before, I want you to reach your hands out to me with a smile.
Because I too will take your hand with a smile.

And, for the end of Canzel, we’ve made a best of album.
We’ll put all of our memories of you into the recording of this final CD.

That’s one thing that I wanted to tell you.

We’ll make our Nagoya and Osaka oneman show, and our last three days oneman shows awesome lives that you won’t forget.
